As part of the largest Heritage Restoration project in the Southern Hemisphere, the Christchurch Arts Centre Chemistry Building has been strengthened, fully restored and custom-designed for UC College of Arts students. A new lift reflects the Arts Centre’s philosophy of universal access. State-of-the-art infrastructure has been installed, including the latest in data, lighting and heating. The restored building retains some of the existing historic walls, while other floor areas have been opened up to enable flexibility of use.
